Forgive me for posting a personal blog, but today marked the last day our beloved German housemate Phillip was with us before he moves up north on his travels. This leaves just myself and Bri to occupy our Stirling mcmansion on the hill, with of course our supplement partners: Dee (Bri's beau) and Edie (my belle - absent.)

[19.6.06] Tyndall Assembly Cancellation II
Again, apologies are due as I have to regrettebly announce that the Tyndall Assembly concert scheduled for Thursday July 29th has been cancelled due to logistical problems. I feel for the benefit of all concerned (performers, venue facilitator and myself) an extra month's preparation is necessary to present Brian Eno's Music For Airports faithfully.
I apologise for any inconvenience caused, think of it as a much needed intermission.
The next concerts are scheduled for:
Wednesday 19th July 8pm
Thursday 27th July 8pm

[18.6.06] Solo gig the other night
Last Friday night, I played a support slot for Kyri and Jess Lewis' respective album launches at the Night Train complex. I was on the bill with Heather Frahn, Nadjeska and The Mandala Project as well as a few other artists/bands. It was a good set, here's the setlist:
1. Rendezvous
2. Stopframe
3. Broken Piano
4. The Fool That I Am
5. Looking For Astronauts [The National]
6. Almost Everything
7. Valentine's Day
Personally, I'm feeling better about performing songs again and in the next month I will start recording songs for the album I've been talking about for over a year now.

[4.6.06] hands that hurt, pens that cry, loudspeakers that say no more...
Hello all,
I've just finished marking 80-odd first year music assignments and my left hand has been rendered completely useless. Aside from this, I f****d up really bad this afternoon when I attempted to run a sub-sonic sine tone (5 hz for those of you playing at home) through one of my vintage Kenwood hi-fi speakers. It's dead, as I can't get any voltage response from it whatsoever. I'm a bit pissed off as it was over 30 years old and sounded beautiful ... tell me what you think of my temporary alternative high fidelity set-up:
depressing, non?
As for the stars over the curse word, I will not condone filth.
